Cowboys and Cowgirls

My babies did their very first horse show at the Morgan County Fair this year. Addie and Mason did the lead-line class yesterday.  They looked so fabulous in their cowboy/cowgirl duds. I'm not quite sure yet, but I think they may have caught "horse fever" from their mama! I am so proud of them and so glad they had a good experience.

Morgan Valley Marathon

I just completed my second 1/2 marathon on Saturday. I ran my first last year at this same time in Morgan.  This was the second annual Morgan Valley Marathon and I got roped into this huge commitment once again by my cute friend McCall. I decided this is probably something I would never have decided to do on my own, I really needed someone to answer and commit to. I have loved the shape that I have worked in to. I used to think that I HATED running, especially in high school, but last year McCall asked if I would want to do it and about that same time I found out that I had high cholesterol (thanks Mom and Dad...genetically I am in trouble!). It was a perfect time to take charge of my health and I think I caught the runnning bug. Challenging...but a great pay off. I had a good time with my running buddies Britt, McCall, and Kacey and Em when they would come. Thanks gals, SO glad the long runs are over, but so grateful I did and could do it!
P.S. For the record, I have absolutley NO desire WHATSOEVER to run a full marathon!
On Young Street, about mile 10.
So happy to see my cheering crew.
 Crazy running lunatics!!

Cutest darn cheerleaders I have EVER seen!

Williams Family Reunion 2012

This year the Great Williams get-together was held in South Dakota. Yes... South Dakota. What is there, you might ask? Well, I wasnt aware of this before, but it is home to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. As a family we voted to vacation here. It was an excellent choice, truly. I think everyone should see these sites sometime in their life. It was a short trip- 4 days, 2 of which were driving. We visited these sites and also went on a tour of a gold mine and also did a little panning for gold. Can I just say....THERAPEUTIC?! For me at least. There is just something about the swishing swirling water in the bottom of your pan,  and looking for flecks of gold that is SO calming for me. I could have done it for hours.
On this particular trip we decided to leave little Kendal behind. But not without much worry and thinking. We decided if we took her at her ripe old age of 2, it would be pure misery. She stayed with Grandma Russell and it sounds like she had just as much fun alone with Grandma as we did vacationing! It was so much fun with Addie and Mason. They are almost 6 and 4 years old and we just had a ball. They loved to sleep in a giant bed at the hotel and swim every single chance they got. We ate out every meal, but sadly never had an ounce of good food or service, for that matter. A home cooked meal never sounded so good after 4 days and over 20 hours of driving!

 Awe!!!

Stylin' with Grannies reading glasses. Thank You QVC.
Yes...I got talked into this by Cutler. Who else can say they tickled George Washington's nose?

Some cute hotel maid had "Funt" play peek-a-boo. Addie thought it was awesome.

 Grandkids....minus Kendal
Kasey talked me into doing "The Little Mermaid" Smashing, I think!
Cody trying to hold up Mace like on Lion King, ya know, the whole circle of life thing. Too bad this Simba weighs nearly 50 pounds.
