Eeee gads...thats alot of children!

So, last Thursday my BFF Kristina, came up with her triplet girls and we had a little playdate. (For all you old fogies that don't know what that means, it is "best friends forever" : ) ) My other BFF and niece, I might add, came up too. (Yes....she is my niece. Yes...she is OLDER than me. And yes...she is one of my best friends. Don't ask...our family is VERY complicated.) The kids played in the pool for about 3 minutes and then decided there were much funner things to do outside of the pool. We had lunch...which was sort of like trying to keep a herd of cattle corraled...without a fence. All in all we had a good time. And the best result of this play date? Mason is FINALLY (whoo-hoo!) walking! He saw the triplets cruising all over and something just clicked in his head. It was such a fun afternoon!

Still waiting patiently!

The 4th of July this year was one of our favorites to date. It was so fun because the kids are getting old enough to enjoy all the festivities. Our day started off with the Morgan parade. The kids ABSOLUTLEY loved it! Mason sat in his little chair the entire time, dancing, and filling up on candy. Addie had a blast and couldn't believe that people actually THREW candy at her...which is a vast difference from her feeling like she has to sneak it from the pantry when Mom is on the computer! Most of the kid's cousins were there too, most were IN the parade and all the rest were on the recieving end! Then we went to the park and enjoyed the celebration. There was entertainment, booths, kids games, and food. It really was fun and the kids couldn't believe how many great things they got to do. After that we had a bbq at my sister Cathy's house, followed by a trip to the other sister Becky's house for some cowgirl barrel racing competition...it was so fun and I didn't quite get my fill of that....BECAUSE, it was on to the next bbq at Cody's brother Justin's house. It was so fun, and such good steak...I might add. It was a quiet and peaceful way to end the night. Uncle Justin has the coolest, biggest giant bouncy slide that ends in a little swimming pool...Addie had a crazy awesome time. We also did some little fireworks at his house. And minus a little burnt hair on a certain little boy from a sparkler (nice "helping"...Dad!) it was a happy, fairly safe time! As we pullled back into Morgan about 10:00 pm the Morgan fireworks started, so we stopped on our street and watched them in the truck.
Our day was run, run, run...but it was an absolute blast. I love our families so much and it is so fun to spend time with them doing fun stuff. In my book...it doesn't get much better than this!

Oh..Summer Days

Swimming, riding bikes, playing on the hot concrete, and eating messy popsicles...Isn't that what summer is all about? Oh to be little again!

Addie's very first French Braid...she loved it.

Swiffer Sales Lady

So can I tell you all, how very cool the Swiffer Wet Jet is! I have been wanting to try it for a long time and I finally spent the $16 dollars and got one. Way COOL! I like it because it has a little battery operated sprayer that sprays out cleaner in front of the mop and then you just mop right over it. It has disposable cleaning pads, so unlike a regular mop, you don't keep spreading the bacteria and germs around. My children can often be found picking up crumbs or eating OFF of my kitchen floor....so I really like the disposable pad feature. Plus, you can just spot clean if you need to and not have to fill up a whole bucket of water and Pinesol to mop. I do miss the Pine-sol smell (lovely and INTOXICATING!) though. Plus, this little machine has a 1 year warranty. Anywhoo...I know I sound like a Swiffer sales lady...but I am sold on anything that makes my crazy life a little easier-and this does it!
