Good Things to Try...

Go to the theatre to see The Proposal and then go back again to see Transformers. Also, coconut M&M's are definatley worth a shot...DELICIOUS if ya ask me. Also, Kroger pineapple guava popsicles from Smith's. I know, I know...most everything I talk about is food...but it's my passion. I love summer treats, movies, and dates...can ya tell?

Dad's Day

It was a very happy Sunday here in the Williams' household. I ordered cody a Fathead off the internet for his Father's Day gift...but of course it didn't make it here on time. What is a Fathead you ask? They are a company that make giant vinyl sports mascots, sports players, etc. You can stick them on your walls and then move them if you need to without any damage (supposedly...I'll let you know!) Cody is a die-hard Kansas fan...so I got him a Kansas Jayhawk mascot one. It will probably just go in the garage until we are able to finish our basement. Then he can decorate HOWEVER he wants down there. Yes I am serious...he should have a space he loves...he does provide all of this for us...what's one little space : )
Anywhoo...Addie and I made him a Candy Grahm at about 11:00 pm Saturday night. I mostly was wrestling the candy away from her and telling her "No Addie, I can't draw you a triangle on this poster. NO! Don't eat that! NOOOO! I won't draw a dinosaur...we have to use different paper. Don't waste all the tape!" But...we got er' done and you can see the results above. 1 very happy dad and 2 happy, grabby kids! I love them all so dang much!
I made Cody's favorite meal- marinated chicken breasts grilled on the BBQ, rolls, broccoli, and asparagus. My dad came over too....and just kept eating roll after roll. I think he ate about 8 rolls...it was pretty funny!
Then we headed down to Cody's parents for the rest of the evening. Addie was a gem-because she didn't have a nap, but it was fun to visit.
I love my man so much and I am so grateful that he was made just for me!

Favorite Things

Today I was outside while my kids were playing and enjoying the sunshine after an entire week of summer thunderstorms...yuck! I was just sitting there thinking of all the things I am thankful for and all the things I just LOVE. I do more than my fair share of complaining about everything- from not being able to take a shower by myself to having dirt instead of grass. But today- I want to let you all know the things I just love:

my kids and hubby
living in Morgan and being able to go see Mom and Dad anytime I want
being a stay-at-home mom
trips to Nebco for a fountain drink
fuzzy playful kitties
our home....just the way we wanted it
the warm sun after a week of rain
when my kids giggle
watching Dad shoe horses
talking to Andy on my cell 4 times a day (no kidding!)
having a mailbox next to my house instead of our old post office box
warm summer evenings outside with my family
going on walks
using the weed-eater...it's quite fun to obliterate stuff
fresh clean sheets
taking a bath in my big jetted tub
girl's night out
getting treats and drinks and going on drives with my cute little family
watching my kids swim
the smell of clean babies slathered in baby lotion
our new ward...we finally feel HOME!
Dove chocolate and V-chocolates Almond Toffee
Russell and Williams' family parties
Swiss days
crazy lady shopping day (The day after Thanksgiving...otherwise known as Black Friday)
decorating for Christmas
the smell of Pine-sol
snuggling with Cody every night before we fall asleep
Bed Head hairspray
the invention of the flat iron
my ruby-red washer and dryer
my kids chubby feet
being a nurse
when Addie sings to me
when Mason open-mouth kisses me : )

going to library time with my babies
laying over the heater vent with my cheetah blanket
the smell of horses

I actually could go on and on...but I will stop. I have alot to be thankful for...especially great family and great friends!

Pablo & Tula

We welcomed some more sob stories into our family recently-thanks Andy! Addie told me that Pablo's name is not Pablo...it's "Pablo-gins". She calls her favorite show The Backyardigans- "Gins." (Pablo, Tasha, Uniqua, Tyrone, and Austin are the different little Backyardigan friends that have imaginary adventures in their backyard. It's her favorite!)

Aren't baby kitties just the cutest!

Shoes for Chubby Feet

My little Mason comes with a challenge...finding shoes for his chubby feet! I have probably tried on over 30 pairs of shoes on this kid and not 1 pair has fit him. First off-he has kankles. Second-he has no heel to hold a shoe on. Third- his feet are so thick (from top of foot to bottom) that you can't get a shoe on. This makes it very frustrating for his mother! AAAAHHH! I am TRYING to look at him not walking as a blessing...maybe he is just waiting to grow into his feet, so he can find shoes, and then he will walk. Oh well...wishful thinking.
Andy and I found these little shoes for him at the Pederson Farm Supply store in Logan. Roper makes them and calls them "Cowpokes" They are so soft and have elastic around the arch of his foot and the heel. This is the first pair of shoes that have fit my little buddy. They are actually more like moccasins...but at least he won't rub the tops of his feet raw when he crawls outside and they will offer some protection....ESPECIALLY after our little incident yesterday.
The kids and I were up to Andy's yesterday to play and help her do horse stuff. Mason was in the back of the cab of the truck while we were outside, and all of the sudden he started screaming! I went and grabbed him, figuring Addie just gave him a cheap shot or something. He finally calmed down. But then I started to notice my foot was warm and my flip-flop was sticking to my foot. Then I saw this spattering all over the backs of my jeans. I was trying to think so hard what I had stepped in, or if the bull from the chute earlier had flipped crap on me. THEN IT HIT ME! I hurried and grabbed each of Mason's feet and looked at the bottom. Sure enough....he was bleeding like a stuck pig! We got it stopped and cleaned him off. But we still don't quite know what happened. He was by a box of syringes that had protectors on and we couldn't find any open needle....but we couldn't see what else might have poked him.
So...right then and there Andy said "We are going to find that kid some shoes right now!" I told her that would be great and I would give her 20 bucks if she could find a pair that fit. Obviously , we found just the pair. But now I owe her 20 dollars! Oh well....it was well spent!

Summer Fun

LOVE that bum!

Our new daily routine consists of swimming out in the pool in the garage. Why in the garage you ask? We fair-skinned folk don't last that long in the sun without getting fried. It is truly the best 15 bucks I have spent in a long time!
