Oh Santa...you didn't!

Hey everyone! Christmas was extra fun this year because Addie is starting to get the idea about jolly old St. Nick and what great things he does. Santa brought Addie an interactive baby doll that has a high chair, stroller, playpen, and diaper bag-she thought she'd died and gone to heaven! She is very much into pretending-like playing mommy or playing with her kitchen. She is always toteing her baby around in the stroller and putting all her stuffed animals to bed in the playpen. Some other favorite presents were her Cars shoes and her new fleece blanket (as modeled above) . Mason on the other hand was just as happy with the boxes, ribbon, and paper. There were a few moments though, where he was fighting his sister over the baby stroller and had her pinned in the corner.
I got a Wii Fit...which is way fun and Cody got an air compressor and a snowboarding game for the Wii. Also...on the Wii note...we got Guitar Hero from Andy. That is probably one of the funnest games I have every played! It is challenging and after you get over the sadness of having no eye-hand coordination any more...it's pretty fun to rock out!
I am sad that Christmas is over...it just comes too fast. But I am looking forward to what the new year will bring us. It was fun to see our families. With everyone's busy lives, we just don't get together as much as we used to. Anywhoo now we actually have to focus on out house and start making some decisions....AAAAHHH! Wish me luck! Happy holidays everyone! We love you.

Santa and Such

Santa came to library time in Morgan this week. There were so many kids so excited to see the jolly old fellow! Addie would sit about 5 feet away and just hold out her hand and request a candy cane, but I kept telling her Santa doesn't give candy canes unless you go sit on his lap. So after watching all the other kids sit on his lap and get a candy cane, she finally took her turn. But only long enough, mind you, for her to recieve her candy cane. Mason just craned his neck and kept checking old Kris Kringle out and smiling. Oh how different our two little children are!

Also we found out Mason has an allergy to amoxicillin. He has been on it for a week for a double ear infection and this morning he just broke out in a raised-welted rash. Doc said to just moisturize and don't give him any more amoxicillin (duh). Anywhoo..I feel bad for the poor little buddy, but it doesn't seem to be bugging him that I can tell!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Fabulous Las Vegas!

Okay everyone...I reek of cigarette smoke and my pockets are empty-but I had an awesome time! Andy and I went to Las Vegas with her gentlemen friend Randy because he was in the finals of the World Championship Series of Team Roping. This was going on the same time as the National Finals Rodeo, so there was tons to do. We even saw the Thunder Equigames that featured bull fighting, mounted shooting, and barrel racing. It was so fun and we got some really cool stuff. I took 3 pair of jeans, but left with 7 pair. I also got this photograph called "coolin' off" that I have been looking for for 4 years. It's a big picture with awesome matting and frame and it's a bunch of horses walking into the water. I also got some pounded copper sinks with stars for my master bathroom, a bling-bling belt, Cody a wallet, Addie some pink bling-bling boots, and 2 free duffle bags! We flew down, but it was a good thing we drove home with Randy because of all the stuff we bought. We even got a steal on our room. We had two adjoining condos. They each had dining, kitchens, living, bedrooms, and bathrooms with seperate shower and tubs. Because Andy had to do some cancelling and re-booking, the hotel somehow screwed up and gave us these 2 adjoining condo's all for the price of $70 a night! We couldn't believe it!

Well, back to real life now. I had fun, but I was so excited to get home and snuggle my cute little family. It's good to go, but even better to come home! Now I have got to get to Christmasing some more...I can't believe it's a week and a half away!

Our House

Okay everyone...meet our house! I know this isn't quite as exciting to everyone else as it is to us, but I needed to show and tell. We are so used to an older home that was falling apart every time we turned around. We won't know what to do when we actually get to move in to this house-it won't seem real! The subcontractors that work think I am a crazy fruitcake because I drive by it about 3 or 4 times a day trying to see what they have done. My favorite part? The rough cut timber beams in the entryway...they turned out so much cooler than what I even had in mind. I know my style is totally rustic-but I love it! They are putting the shingles on this week and rock will go up in the next couple weeks. It's scary to pick out all your colors and just hope they go together...you all know what I'm talking about. Sometimes you just drive by a house, your jaw drops, and you say "what were they thinking?"- when in fact when they were picking out colors they probably thought they were all cool and figured it would all go together! Anyway, I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best!

Christmas Calculating

Addie is just here doing a little light reading while getting her tummy excercises in on her ball. Notice the calculator next to the magazine-she is just adding up how expensive all the presents she wants for Christmas are going to be for mom and dad! She just loves to sit down and read the Sunday ads with everyone and it just so happened she was looking at a fine jewlery ad and playing with the calculator. Thats my girl! Mason was just out of the picture trying to crinkle and eat them!

Gingerbread House

So here it is...our first gingerbread house! We had a great time doing it. I mostly did the decorating and Addie mostly did the eating. She is very proud of it, but has no worries about slowly dismanteling it...piece by piece (when Mom isn't around-of course!) I highly recommend doing it. You can get the whole kit from Sam's Club, Costco, or Wal-Mart for about $10 bucks. It just takes the hassle out of doing the whole thing from scratch-although I've never done it the other way. I am just into easy and fast these days! Happy Christmas celebrating everyone!

Hello World!

Okay, okay! We finally did it-we transitioned into the blogging world. I sort of felt like I was the only one not doing it (which I pretty much was). But no longer! Here are our little punkins! Addie is almost 2 1/2 and Mason is 9 months. They very much have their own distinct personalities. Addie is VERY strong willed and independant, while Mason just "hangs out" and is just happy to be where you are. They have become the best of play buddies, which happened sooner than I thought. You always see Mace's rear-end army crawling down the hall to go play with big sis in her room. They will play for hours...which is nice for me. But I always have to be checking on them because they are usually in some sort of mischief- i.e. trying to fit in the dresser drawer, pulling out all the wipes out of the wipes box, or gagging each other with play spoons. You gotta love it!

Cody and I have been so lucky to be able to move to Morgan. We are living with my mom and are in the middle of building a house...we are so excited! We love mom...bless her heart! But sometimes you just need to have your kids destroying your own new house...not grandma's! (Sorry mom about the sparkley nail polish...AND the busted lamp shade!
Cody works as an engineer in North Salt Lake and is really liking it...as far as jobs go! I am a Registered Nurse and work occasionally when I need a break from the little peanuts, but mostly I get to stay home. I am so lucky!

I've got to download some more pictures... and figure out more cool things about this blogging stuff...but when I do watch out!
