Cousins at the parade!
My Addie Belle
Mason Cash
The 4th of July this year was one of our favorites to date. It was so fun because the kids are getting old enough to enjoy all the festivities. Our day started off with the Morgan parade. The kids ABSOLUTLEY loved it! Mason sat in his little chair the entire time, dancing, and filling up on candy. Addie had a blast and couldn't believe that people actually THREW candy at her...which is a vast difference from her feeling like she has to sneak it from the pantry when Mom is on the computer! Most of the kid's cousins were there too, most were IN the parade and all the rest were on the recieving end! Then we went to the park and enjoyed the celebration. There was entertainment, booths, kids games, and food. It really was fun and the kids couldn't believe how many great things they got to do. After that we had a bbq at my sister Cathy's house, followed by a trip to the other sister Becky's house for some cowgirl barrel racing competition...it was so fun and I didn't quite get my fill of that....BECAUSE, it was on to the next bbq at Cody's brother Justin's house. It was so fun, and such good steak...I might add. It was a quiet and peaceful way to end the night. Uncle Justin has the coolest, biggest giant bouncy slide that ends in a little swimming pool...Addie had a crazy awesome time. We also did some little fireworks at his house. And minus a little burnt hair on a certain little boy from a sparkler (nice "helping"...Dad!) it was a happy, fairly safe time! As we pullled back into Morgan about 10:00 pm the Morgan fireworks started, so we stopped on our street and watched them in the truck.
Our day was run, run, run...but it was an absolute blast. I love our families so much and it is so fun to spend time with them doing fun stuff. In my book...it doesn't get much better than this!
